It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Hook of Minburn, Iowa, born in Hawarden, Iowa, who passed away on June 13, 2020, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his mother Lavonne Hook (Kratochvil) of Hawarden; his former wife Debbie Ball; his wife Dodie Hook; his daughter Mindy Rigler (Josh) of Montana; his grandchildren, Dustin, Haley and Kendra Rigler; his stepdaughter Melissa Bailey of Panora; his stepgrandchildren, Kolby, Kurtis, McKennzie and McKenna; his siblings, Lorri Schuller (Frank) of Hawarden, Shery Kaskie (Lyle) of Hawarden, Michael Hook (Shelda) of Hawarden, Dennis Hook of Hot Springs, Terry Hook (Joni) of Las Vegas and Pat Hook (Jackie) of Algonquin, Illinois; his foster mother Linda Schumacher of Perry; his siblings-in-law, Marge Elliott of Chicago and Bill Elliott (Kris) of Fishers, Indiana; and also Melissa. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Memorials may be given to Akron Fire-Rescue, Hawarden Ambulance Service, or the Akron-Westfield Educational Excellence Foundation in Joe's name.
