He was predeceased by: his parents, Porter Smith and Ethel Smith (Little); his wife Lillian Darlene; and his siblings, Edward Smith and Dorothy Belden (Smith).
He is survived by: his friends, Harold and Darlene; his children, Pam, Vickie Backman (Ken) of Omaha, NE, Pamela Lindvig (Bruce) of Scottsdale, AZ and Greg Smith (Susan) of Mesa, AZ; his grandchildren, Kristine, Jennifer (Nicholas Backman), Kathryn Wallace, Brian Smith, Clayton (Christopher Lindvig), Aaron (Jonathan Bridgham) and Nathan (Kaitlin Libby); and his great grandchildren, Aidyn, Rylan, Grayson, Madelyn Backman, Miranda, Natalie Wallace, Cory, Kian Smith, Lilah, Maverick Libby, Trevor and Hunter Bridgham.
