He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Chaplin and Wilma Chaplin (Hervey); and his siblings, Louise Kirkpatrick, Floyd Chaplin, Dwayne Chaplin, Dean Chaplin, Dale Chaplin and Carl Chaplin.
He is survived by: his wife Kathie Wadle; his daughter Katrina Davis (Steve); his grandchildren, Andrew Romick (Celia), Alisa Romick (Melanie), Emily Bates (Nick), Katlyn Millison (Brad), Makenzie Pritchard, Shelby Miller (Peyton), Bryce Romick (Amber Beener) and Drew Davis; and his siblings, Wendell Chaplin, Lois Bennett, John Chaplin, Gary Chaplin, Janice Benge and David Chaplin. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Milo American Legion.
