With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marlene Florence Nelsen of Milford, Iowa, born in Carroll, Iowa, who passed away on February 12, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Bellinghausen and Mary Catherine Bellinghausen (Schoeppner); and her husband Edwin Eugene Nelsen. She is survived by: her child Gene Nelsen (Amy); her grandchildren, Ben, Alex, Nick, Alexandra, Peyton and Carsyn; her great grandchildren, Cash, Saylor and Beckett; her granddaughter Cathy Homard (Rick); her great grandchildren, Rebecca, Jason, Aaron, Dave Nelsen (Yatnia), Rod Nelsen (Cozy) and Tim Nelsen (Jessica); and also, Joshua, Daniel, Michael, Theodore, Madelyn, Austin, Sean, Ayden, Kennedy, Jazlyn, Noah, Rowan, Eddie and Liam. She is also survived by sisters, brother, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
When she felt her time sewing was complete, she donated the materials and equipment to a nearby church to continue the mission of providing warmth to others.
