He is survived by: his girlfriend Sharon Carter; his daughters, Kari Sala (Joe) of Veneta and Amy Keifer (Chad) of Sioux Falls; his granddaughters, Emmaline and Sophia; and his siblings, David Handeland, Kathy Handeland, Ann Kuiper (Tracy) and Mary Kotewa (Ken). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
