It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Nicolai of Milford, Iowa, born in Sioux City, Iowa, who passed away on February 17, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gene Murphy and Margaret Murphy (Shafer); her husband Lawrence "Nick" Nicolai; and her sister Pattie Winchell. She is survived by: her sons, Michael Nicolai of Ovid, CO, Mark Nicolai (Lynn) of Sioux Falls, SD, Dave Nicolai of Spirit Lake, IA and Gene Nicolai (Anna) of Des Moines, IA.; her grandchildren, Brad Nicolai (Chelsea Eddy), Sam Nicolai (Brenda Poppens), Zach Nicolai, Alyssa Nicolai and Emilie Nicolai (Beau Mueller); and also, James, Mary Murphy, Anna and Julia Murphy.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Spirit Lake, IA.
