He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Eckard and Ida Eckard (Wilson); his wife Alene Eckard (Leyson); and his sisters, Elaine Watkins and Melba Warburton.
He is survived by: his children, Shelly, Lavone Pitler and Ray Eckard (Nancy); his grandchildren, Jason, Jeremy, Jesse and Shelly Gifford (Gary); his great grandchildren, Christopher, Kayla, Kristin and Harley; and his sisters, Shirley Boles and Virginia Davis (Roger). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
