He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Winkowitsch and Kathryn Winkowitsch (Cassens); his parents-in-law, Burt and Adriana Van Iperen; his brothers-in-law, Layne Gross, Mitch Mitchell (Jerry) and Don Van Iperen; and also Joslin Winkowitsch.
He is survived by: his wife Jo (Van Iperen); his daughter Jessica Dagel (Jason); his grandchild Annika; his son Lew Winkowitsch (Melanie); his grandchildren, Andi and Levi; his great grandchild Cooper; and his siblings, Dawn Gross, Mary Mitchell, Janice Fitzpatrick (Terry) and Daniel Winkowitsch (Luisa). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 20th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Turner Jenness Family Funeral Home (1302 Hill Ave, Spirit Lake, IA 51360). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 21st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (402 6th St, Sibley, IA 51249).
