She was predeceased by: her parents, William Peter Ahlers and Mary Margaret Ahlers (Schwarz); and her siblings, Florence Ahlers, Lucille Schumacher, Ruth Green and Emmett Ahlers.
She is survived by: her children, Laura Maluwelmeng (Simon) of Barrigada, Sheryl Hinkeldey (Jeffrey) of Windom, Patricia Heller of Schertz, Douglas Heller (Rebecca) of Milford, Peggy Tauer (Michael) of Sleepy Eye, Linda Currier (Troy) of Denison, Daniel Heller (Stephanie) of Omaha and Jodi Allard (Kenneth) of Vacaville, California.; her grandchildren, Brett, Connie, Devin Maluwelmeng, Ashley Scott, Bridgette Lusk, Austin Hinkeldey, Robert, Thomas Heller, Alex, Jaden Heller, Kyle, Brandon, Katelyn Tauer, Jenna Currier, Paxton Heller, Alyssa and Joshua Allard; and her great grandchildren, Maya, Gabriella Maluwelmeng, Carly Westling, Hudson, Ellie Hinkeldey, Christopher James (CJ) and Jordan Heller.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (1305 Okoboji Ave, Milford, IA 51351). A prayer was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM at the Calvary Cemetery.
The family asks that memorial donations be made to the Rosary Altar Society of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Milford, Iowa.
