He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Elmer and Elenor Breuer Rheinschmidt; his sisters, Kay, Patty, Rosie and Myrna; and his half-brother Arthur Rawlings.
He is survived by: his wife Connie L. Seager; his children, John Rheinschmidt (Elaine) of Rio Rancho, NM, Merilynn Rheinschmidt of Oceanside, CA and Christina Steilen (Robert) of Oceanside, CA; his brother Ronald Rheinschmidt (Marthe) of Burlington, IA; and his grandson Christopher Steilen.
