With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Henry Rieken of Merrill, Iowa, born in Brunsville, Iowa, who passed away on July 30, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Rieken and Viola Rieken (Weber); his parents-in-law, Ray and Eileen Singer (LaBahn); his sisters, Kathy Burnett and Bette Erickson (Walt); his siblings-in-law, Russell Rosenbaum, Kevin Singer, Peggy Hageman and Guy Singer; and his niece Julie Field.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Singer; his son Scott Rieken (Carla) of Merrill; his grandchildren, Kayla Hicks (Travis), Kyle Rieken, Kourtney Rieken (Chad Peters) and Kassidy Voss (Brant); his son Richard Rieken (Jody) of Des Moines; his grandchildren, Samuel Rieken (Katie Robertson) and Jessica Oliver (Jayrolyn); his great grandchildren, Boston Peters, Braylon Peters, Gage Hicks, Gracelyn Hicks, Delilah Voss, Jaelyn Figueroa and Jeremiah Figueroa; his siblings, Janet Rosenbaum of Elk Point, SD and Dennis Rieken (Pam Lynch) of Le Mars; and his siblings-in-law, Jim Burnett, Darrell Hageman, Bill Singer, Sandy Ludwigs and Linda Dunkin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
