Knapp of Melvin, IA; his brothers, Dick Benz (Yvonne "Gundy") and Earl Benz (Francis); his half-siblings, Pearl Brunk (Harold), Vivian Brunk (Vernon), Bernard "Butch" Benz (Theresa) and Harold Jass (Esther); and his children, Jeff Benz (Mary) of Des Moines, IA, Julia Michelson (Rex) of Melvin, IA, Chuck Benz (Diane) of Melvin, IA, Rita Hoffman (Greg) of Spencer, IA and Terri Kimler (Greg) of Jacksonville, IL. He was also cherished by 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
