It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Heitritter of Melvin, Iowa, born in Sheldon, Iowa, who passed away on August 9, 2023, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Dale Heitritter; his parents-in-law, Stan and Karen Ackerman; and his siblings-in-law, Barry Cammann, Troy Ackerman and Sue Ackerman.
He is survived by: his mother Marlene Heitritter (Bieser); his wife Becky Ackerman; his children, Mike Baker (Amy) of Melvin, IA, Jodi Fourie (Johan) of Hartley, IA and Daniel Heitritter (Makenzie) of Spencer, IA; his grandchildren, Bryce, Ethan, Reed Baker, Lukas, Kolten and Colin Fourie; his siblings, Steve Heitritter (Sandra), Deb Van Driel (Cory) and Sheri Blevins (Rick); and his siblings-in-law, Todd Ackerman, Brenda Ackerman and Stan Ackerman. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
