With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Larry Jay Dobberthein of Melrose, Iowa, who passed away on March 21, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Katherine Elizabeth Dobberthein (Sweeney) and Oliver John Dobberthein; and his siblings, Verle Dobberthein, Shirley Cook, Tom Dobberthein, Joe Dobberthein, John Dobberthein and Mary Deragowski.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Dobberthein of Theresa's Catholic Church; and his children, Cathy Sinclair (Chuck) of Carlisle and Joseph Dobberthein (Tina) of Chariton. He is also survived by six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
