He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonny Overton and Judy Overton (Ulm); and his wife Kris Overton. He is survived by: his children, Katie Timmerman (Joe) of Des Moines, Karaline Velasco (Chris) of Urbandale and Kristin Overton of Johnston; his grandchildren, Kyli, Peighton Timmerman, Alexia and Sebastian Velasco; and his sister Terri White (Kevin) of Des Moines.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at 5050 Doanes Park Rd, Pleasant Hill, IA 50327.
