He was predeceased by: his parents, Pliny Samuel and Violet Samuel (Briggs); his stepdaughter Jennifer Robinson; and his grandson Carl Robinson. He is survived by: his wife Theresa Riddick of Melrose; his children, Toni McCoy (Lonnie) of Keokuk, Crystal Wheeler of Clive and Dalene Shaw (Everett) of Boone; and his grandchildren, Melanie McCoy, Kelly McCoy, Megan Merrill, Carlee Wheeler and Jennifer Cassidy.
