He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Schurman and Mildred Schurman (Ohnemus); his wife Collette Cronin; and his siblings, Wayne, Lyle, Elvin and Marlene.
He is survived by: his children, Tim Schurman (Heidi), Pam Dennis (Mike) and Susie Schurman; his grandchildren, Alex Schurman (Sophie), Charlie Schurman, Bryce Dennis (Macey) and Breanna Catron (Alex); his great grandchild Wren; his grandchild Cali; and his brothers, Loren Schurman, Richard Schurman (Rae) and Dennis Schurman. He is also survived by many relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Saint Patrick's Catholic Church (200 Shamrock St, Melrose, IA 52569). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Melrose Fire Department or to Melrose Betterment.
