She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Wayne Stierwalt and Lula Stierwalt (Nickelson); her grandparents, John and Maggie Stierwalt; her husband Claude Hoch; her friends, Bud and Beverly Garner; her children, Douglas Hoch (Martha) of Corydon, Stephen Hoch (Cynthia) of Centerville, Dwight Hoch (Connie) of Wichita, KS and Sheila Hoch of Chariton; her grandchildren, Matt Bryant (Stacey), Jennifer Spielbauer (Brian), Tiffany Quillin (Andrew), Angela Shinn (David), Stacey Maddy (Jason), Laurie Nielsen (Mitch), Nicholas Hoch (Samantha), Danielle Zeller (Todd), Jacob Hoch (Justine), Marissa Hols (Jeremy Miller) and Gil Hols; her siblings-in-law, Mary Stierwalt, Flavian and Josephine Hoch; and her brother Berns. She was also cherished by twenty-three great-grandchildren.
Norma's family has respectfully requested that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Chariton Sacred Heart Catholic Church stained glass window restoration project.
