With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald W. Mathes of Melcher-Dallas, Iowa, who passed away on June 7, 2020 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Mathes and Alice Mathes (Goematt); his daughter Julie Mathes; and his siblings, Wilbur Mathes, Arend Donald Mathes and Junella Fee.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Harvey; his sons, Mike Mathes (Snooky) and Tim Mathes (Kay); and his grandchildren, Chad, Lisa, Jill, Beth, Danny and DJ. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
