It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Jane Tate of Melcher-Dallas, Iowa, who passed away on February 17, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Barbara Jane Tate to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roger Brown and Mary Brown (Mead); and her son Jesse Tate. She is survived by: her husband Richard Lee Tate; her children, Amenda Tate, Avery Corso, Jack Corso and Crystal Tate; her grandchildren, Pearl Tate (Dylan), Marquese Tate and Jayda Tate; her children, Rosanna Tate, Daisy Williams and Tate Broadus; her stepchildren, Kimberly (Tate), Cherise Tate, Taylor Skaggs, Jaylin Skaggs, Jett, Rodrick Tate, Erick Tate, Matthew Tate, Aspen and Sienna; and her brothers, Michael Brown, Nathan Brown, Matthew Brown, Brian Brown and Alan Brown (Lori Brown).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Pierschbacher Funeral Homes - Melcher (203 E Center St, Melcher-Dallas, IA 50163). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to EveryStep Hospice or St. Paul's United Methodist Church of Pleasantville & Melcher-Dallas, continuing Barb's legacy of care and compassion. Memorials may also be made in care of the family to help with a headstone.
