He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Sr. Dare and Priscilla Dare (Chambliss); his wife Kay Clawson; his sister Micah; his parents-in-law, Bob and Delores Clawson; and his brother-in-law Doug.

He is survived by: his children, Clint Dare (Ashley) of Melbourne, IA, Dustin Dare (Tressa) of Altoona, IA and Katie Gaw (JJ) of Groves, TX; his grandchildren, Dylan (Morgan), Katheryne, Jacob, Tayleigh, Charlee, Elizabeth, John, Olivia and Connor; his great grandchildren, Hudson and Evelynn; and his stepmother Paula Dare of Cartersville, GA. He is also survived by two brothers and two sisters; three sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
