He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence William Van Winkle and Martha Jane Van Winkle (Sites); his brother Mark; and his siblings-in-law, Grover, Elnora Vandermark Willson, Karen Willson Clay and Terry Gene Willson.

He is survived by: his son Dustin Richard (Heidi); his grandson Devin Willson; his wife Patti Sue Willson; his son Devin (Brooke); his grandchildren, Alexis, Ehren, Kendall, Ellah and Aiden; his brothers, Nick (Sarah) and Mike (Leanne); and his brother-in-law Robert Douglas Clay. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
