He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Bob" Hassett and Ann Hassett (Brell); and his siblings, Micki Laddusaw, James "Jim" Hassett and Joseph "Joe" Hassett.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Hassett (Lindeen) of Mediapolis; his children, Shelly Hassett-Player (Riccoh) of Abilene, TX, Ryan Hassett (Heather) of Bonner Springs, KS and Nicole Hassett of Cedar Rapids; his stepchildren, Ryan, Nathan, Tyler Aamodt, Josh Gerst, Minda Swisher and Collin Gerst; and his siblings, Pat Hassett, Bob Hassett (Lynda) and Rusty Hassett. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; six step-grandchildren.
