It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Dean of Mediapolis, Iowa, who passed away on May 2, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Ruth Marie Tieman (Mommy); her husband Robert N. Dean; her father Charles Bowman; and her brother John Bowman. She is survived by: her children, Edie Whitaker (Randy) of Hickory, KY, Sonny Dean (Ellen) of Morning Sun, David Dean (Debby) of Marshall, TX, Babe Dean (Mark Knippling) of Hazel and Debbie Swan (Terry) of Libertyville, Iowa; and her pet Benji. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be established for the Centenary Methodist Church of Morning Sun, Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice or Mary B's Dementia unit of Bickford of Burlington.
