Martha Colleen Carruthers Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 13, 2024, at the age of 71, Martha Colleen Carruthers of Mediapolis, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Kerr and Betty Jo Kerr; her sister Kim Keller; her siblings-in-law, George Manning, Craig Gilchrist, Darrell Carruthers, Paul Keller, Potter Overstreet and Charlotte Overstreet; and her nephews, Billy Cay and Rollie Overstreet.
She is survived by: her husband Fred Carruthers of Mediapolis; her children, Curtis Carruthers of Chattanooga, TN and Carrie Carruthers of Burlington, IA; her granddaughters, Evelyn, Charlotte and Gretchen Carruthers of Chattanooga, TN; her siblings, Connie Cay (Bill) of Fairfield, IA, Kathy Manning of Keosauqua, IA and Jim Kerr (Sue) of Keosauqua, IA; her siblings-in-law, Sue Gilchrist of Burlington, IA, Deb Kirchner of Keosauqua, IA, Dixie Carruthers of San Diego, CA, Dick Carruthers of Rancho Mirage, CA, Dan Carruthers (Paula) of Valencia, CA and Steve Carruthers (Nedra) of Lee's Summit, MO; her aunt Ona "Tink" Lowery of Tupelo, MS; and also Sally Lesh Carruthers. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice House of West Burlington, Mediapolis Ambulance Services or the Mediapolis Public Library.
