He is survived by: his wife Waymath Creelman of Mediapolis; his sons, David Dean (Alisa) of Austin, TX, Jeremy Dean (Jessica) of Mediapolis, James Dean (Jeanene) of Fort Madison, Darren Steffener (Erin) of Mediapolis and Nathan Steffener (Natalie) of Sperry; his grandchildren, Caden, Joss Dean, Griffin Dean, Addison Dean, Josie, Zac Comeaux, Ella, Jessica Steffener, Haley and Luke Steffener; his great grandchildren, Aubrey and Grayson Comeaux; and his siblings, Ralph Dean (Rose) of Morning Sun, Ann Robinson (Rick) of Keosauqua and Trudy Hopkins of Ottumwa.
