With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Linda M Gerst of Mediapolis, Iowa, born in Deer Creek, Illinois, who passed away on April 10, 2022 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Rowell and Louise Rowell (Wegman); her sons, Thomas P. and Douglas C. Gerst; and her brother-in-law Bob Moser.
She is survived by: her sons, James Gerst, Jr. (JoAnn) of Brownstown, Gregory L. Gerst (Kathy) of Mediapolis, Robert F. Gerst (Lamae) of Mt. Pleasant and Jason D. Gerst (Jessica) of Cedar Rapids; her daughter-in-law Debbie Gerst of Mediapolis; and her siblings, Barbara Moser of Morton, John Rowell (Nelda) of Tremont and Phyllis Walk (David) of Dallas. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established for the Cure Cadasil Foundation in Linda's name.
