We are sad to announce that on February 28, 2022, at the age of 101, Elva Mae Gerst of Mediapolis, Iowa, born in Elgin, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Butikofer and Marie Butikofer (Grimm); and her siblings, Joel, Edward Butikofer and Ruth Cottrell (Moser).
She is survived by: her husband Paul A. Gerst; and her sons, William (Judy) of Mediapolis, Joseph (Connie) of Delhi, Walt (Nola) of Mediapolis and Charles (Charlene) of Morning Sun. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, and many extended families.
