Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Doris Nelson of Mediapolis, Iowa, born in Burlington, Iowa, who passed away at the age of 88, on December 24, 2020. She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Wagner and Mildred Wagner (Helton); her husband Melvin Nelson; her children, Tom Nelson and Carol Kay Nelson; and her siblings, Dale Wagner, Doreen Stolze and Donna Woehrle.
She is survived by: her children, Chris Kupferschmid (Gary) of Mediapolis, Randy Nelson (Sue) of Sperry and Steve Nelson (Tracy) of Mediapolis. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorials have been established for the Alzheimer's Association of Iowa or a scholarship through Southeastern Community College for a nontraditional student in Doris' name.
