With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David K. Tapp of Mediapolis, Iowa, born in Galesburg, Illinois, who passed away on March 5, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Stanley and Willa J. Tapp (Aby); his parents-in-law, Robert and Mary Elizabeth West; his brothers, George and Donald Tapp; his nieces, Mary Sue and Shirley Tapp; and his siblings-in-law, Ed West, Larry Fritz, Nancy Tapp and Liz Fritz.
He is survived by: his wife Clara Phyllis West of Mediapolis; his children, Brian Tapp (Michele) of Des Moines, Rob Tapp (Chris) of Mediapolis and Tricia Lanz (Regan) of Oakville; his adoptive son Greg Kinsey (Dayna) of Wapello; his grandchildren, Bethany Tapp, Danielle Tapp, Mikayla Tapp, Jenna Tapp, Raiann Fehr (Ashton), Meika Tapp, Brendon Tapp (Amber), Ally Kinsey, Claire Steiner (Daniel), Bryan Kinsey, Bryant Lanz, Emmalee Lanz, Jackson Lanz and Baylor Lanz; his great grandchildren, Annie, Emmie, Maylee Fehr, Carson, Josie, Callen Steiner and Bowen Tapp; and his pet Sparky.
A memorial has been established for Mediapolis Fire & Ambulance in Dave's name.
