With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dale Bartelt of Mediapolis, Iowa, born in Algona, Iowa, who passed away on October 12, 2023 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Bartelt and Marie Bartelt (Brandt); his brothers, Merlin and Keith; and his sisters-in-law, Alice, Darlene and Peggy Bartelt.
He is survived by: his family, Shannon Leigh and Robert Boyd; his wife Julie Grove; his daughter Shannon Bartelt-Hunt; his son-in-law George Hunt of Omaha; his son Robert; his daughter-in-law Kate Bartelt of Cedar Falls; his grandchildren, Samuel Hunt, Olivia Bartelt, Alden Hunt, Daniel Bartelt, Audrey Bartelt and Abigail Bartelt; and his brothers, Wayne Bartelt (Eljean) of Cedar Falls, Lloyd Bartelt (Verla) of Woden and Glenn Bartelt of Maquoketa. He is also survived by brother-in- laws.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be directed to support cancer research at the University of Iowa Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center.
