With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sophie Weber of Mechanicsville, Iowa, born in Hawarden, Iowa, who passed away on February 28, 2021 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sophie Weber to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Groen and Seitike "Sadie" Groen (Keizer); her brother Karl Groen; her children, Kathy Weber, Kristie Crandall and David Weber; her sons-in-law, Keith Beck and Jay Albaugh; and her great grandchild Wyatt Farrington.
She is survived by: her husband Merlin Weber; and her children, Peggy Beck of Cedar Rapids, Rick Weber (Tonya) of Marion and Shelly Albaugh of Waverly. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Due to Covid and for the health and safety of everyone, a private family service will be held at Dawson Funeral Services in Olin.
The family has designated Cedar County Senior Dining Center in Tipton and the Ladies Auxiliary in Mechanicsville for memorial contributions.
