He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Dehmer and Ann Dehmer (Lebich); his wife Jill Avildsen; his siblings, Philip and Janet; and his son Matthew.
He is survived by: his children, Brian Dehmer (Cyndy) of Colorado Springs, CO and Meredith Dehmer (James Hohnke) of Mechanicsville; and his granddaughter Grace Dehmer.
