He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted Rutan and Shirley Rutan (Hopkins); and his brother Steve. He is survived by: his partner Lonnie Wood; his sons, Alan (Heather), Michael and Kevin (Jaime); his grandchildren, Emerson, Eden, Elliotte and Archer; and his brothers, Brian and Barry (Audrey).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Goettsch Funeral Home (306 E 1st St, Anamosa, IA 52205). The military honors will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the Riverside Cemetery. A burial will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 12:45 PM at the same location.
