We are sad to announce that on December 3, 2021, at the age of 96, Jenira L. Thien of Mechanicsville, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Johnson and Frieda Johnson; her husband Melvin Thien of Tipton; her sister June Geiger; her daughter Melinda Mittlestadt; and her grandchildren, Kelli and Kris Thien.

She is survived by: her sons, Tarry Thien (Vicki) of Mechanicsville and Tim Thien (Sue) of Ames; her grandchildren, Megan Blazavich (Jeff), Brandi Gniffke (Chris), Kari Phillips (Matt), Kelsey Thien and Joe Thien; and her great grandchild Tristian Gniffke.

No flowers or memorials are requested.
