Forest Johnson Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Forest Johnson of Mechanicsville, Iowa, who passed away on March 12, 2021, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Graydon W. Johnson and Lila Bee Johnson (Hayden); his wife Jeanne Ann of Cedar Rapids; his brother Robert; and his son Stevens Forest Johnson.

He is survived by: his daughters, Julie Johnson McLean (Brian McLean) and Lorie Johnson (Don Bitting) of Mechanicsville; his daughter-in-law Tracy Hardy Johnson; his granddaughters, Meredith McLean (Todd Carroll) of Des Moines, Hannah McLean of Madison, Gwyneth Tracy (Kyle) of Hopkins and Cara Johnson (Tom Stutsman) of Frontenac, Minnesota; and his great grandchildren, Oscar Sawyer and Henry Johnson.

Due to COVID concerns, the family was unable to proceed with the planned 100th birthday party in 2020.
