He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin Johnson and Betty Mae Johnson (Fisher); his wife Betty Jean (Church); his brother-in-law Chuck Svoboda; his parents-in-law, Robert and Evelyn Clark; his siblings-in-law, LeRoy and Joyce Jackson; and his son-in-law Dave Lawless.
He is survived by: his daughters, Terri Jo Lawless of Independence, IA and Tina Hanks (Robert) of Mechanicsville, IA; his siblings, Colleen Svoboda of Mechanicsville, IA, Carla Barnhart (Dave) of Mechanicsville, IA and Cletus Johnson (Alberta) of Mechanicsville, IA; his brother-in-law Jim Clark (Mary) of Tipton, IA; and his grandchildren, Taylor Ciha, Luke Lawless, Trevor Hanks and Trent Hanks.
