It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger William Allert of McGregor, Iowa, who passed away on June 1, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, LaVerne Allert and Betty Allert (Bachtell); his aunts, Martha Stuckey and Jolene Huckstadt; his brothers-in-law, Jim Orr and Gary Davis; and his uncles, Joe Craig, William "Huck" Huckstadt and Jack Stuckey.
He is survived by: his wife Vickie Smrcina; his children, Jacob, Zeb (Tara) and Jessie Peterson (Mathew); his siblings, Ron Allert (Dawn), Pat Orr and Pam Davis; his grandchildren, Beckett, Easton, Ryne Allert, Walter and Winston Peterson; his aunt Jan Craig; his uncle Jack Bachtell (Joyce); and his siblings-in-law, Denise Rod (Larry), Christi West (Malik) and Brad Smrcina (Debbie).
