He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Slaughter and Geneva Slaughter (Moore); his wife Beverly Shulka Slaughter; his daughter Theresa Thiede; and his siblings, Claire, Bill, Jim, Scotti "Butch", Lullabell, Bernice and Emmajean.
He is survived by: his grandsons, Tom Thiede of Prairie du Chien, WI and Nathan Slaughter (Cindy Carlson) of McGregor, IA; his great grandchildren, Tristan and Tyler (Hailey Dinatalli); his great great grandchild Aria Beth; his brother Bud Slaughter of McGregor, IA; his caregivers, Peggy, Perre Abel, Mary and Fred Thro; and his nephew Danny Shulka. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
