It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah Sylvina Borton (McCallsburg, Iowa), who passed away on March 24, 2020, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Osmund Helgeland and Ada Helgeland (Wicks); her husband Louis Chester Borton; her daughter Connie Knapp; and her brothers, Osmund Helgeland Jr. and Gilbert Helgeland.
She is survived by: her daughter Judy Burks of Ankeny; and her sisters, Esther Plum of Fairfield and Sue Gould of Marshalltown. She is also survived by three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
