He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Nehring and Laura Nehring (Fricke); his son Charles Nehring; and his brother Jerry Nehring. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane of Maxwell; his children, Paul Nehring (Darla) of Riverbank, CA, Michael Nehring (Brenda) of Ankeny, Nancy Nehring (Steve Winegarden) of Sunnyvale, CA, Joan McKeon (Clayton) of Holland, MI, Shirley Miller (Jon) of Bondurant and Beverly Longnecker (Todd) of Pineville, MO; his siblings, Bruce Nehring of Alden and Minnie Cramer (George) of Alden; and his grandchildren, Carrie Merrell (Stewart), Scott Winegarden, Katie Winegarden, Kate Wade (Mark), Elizabeth Fesl (Adam), Brian McKeon, Sandy Sanders (Ted), Dan Miller (Laura), Jim Miller (Ashley), Joe Miller (Rachel), Nichole Cruse (Austyn), Tara Nehring, Colt Longnecker (Berlyn), Dakota Longnecker, Hannah Jones (Brendan), Grant Nehring (Jodi Oakland), Lucas Nehring, Anthony Nehring and Lindsay Nehring. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
