She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Kots and Lorraine Kots (Boone); and also, Bud and Dorthena Vander Laan. She is survived by: her husband Butch Vander Laan; her daughters, Peggy Schulz (Daniel Leslie) of Merril and Kimberly (Rick Hansen) of Le Mars; her grandchildren, Austin Schulz (Marisela) of Sioux City, Tanner Schulz of Merril, Taylor Lovstad (Josh) of Johnston, Paige Hansen of Le Mars and Brady Hansen (Abby) of Le Mars; her great grandchildren, Ariyah, Ava Schulz, Ensley Lovstad and Bretton Hansen; her siblings, Larry Kots (Pat) of Le Mars, Loren Kots (Henny) of Rock Valley, Lyle Kots of Whiting, Luann Wittrock (Bob) of Cherokee and Lola Kots; her stepfather Vance Bainbridge of Kingsley; and her siblings-in-law, Lee Vander Laan (Hisako) of Essex, Massachusetts, Mark Vander Laan (Leann) of Elk Point, Rachel Sims (Ronnie) of Spring Branch, Texas, Gloria Clark of Gardner, Kansas and Deb Wallace of San Antonio, Texas..
