It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael J. Ney of Matlock, Iowa, born in Sheldon, Iowa, who passed away on August 7, 2021, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph "Joe" Frederick and Armella "Millie" Susan Ney (Pancelet); his son Tommy; his granddaughter Rowyn Ney; his sisters, Ruth (Marvin Strouth) and Pauline Ney; his brothers-in-law, Daryl Den Beste, Herb Berndt and Tad Wolfe; and his mother-in-law Patricia Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Jackie Kaye Wolfe; his sons, Daniel Thurman (Cheyenne) of Sheldon and Scott Ney (Emily) of Sheldon; his grandchildren, Jaxon, Charlotte, Braxton, Elliot, Matthias and Isaiah; his siblings, Ted Ney (Bonnie) of Parma, ID, JoAnn Den Beste of Sheldon, Janice Berndt of Davenport, IA, Bill Ney (Marie) of Yelm, WA, Gene Ney (Laura) of Ashton, IA and Sharon Shassetz (Bob) of Sterling, AK; and his father-in-law Thomas Wolfe. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
