She was predeceased by: her parents, Austin Thomas Harris and Barbara Ellanora Harris (Mehlmann); her husband Harry William Stapleton; her son Harry James Stapleton; her siblings, Varel, Russell Harris, Melva Casey and Clare Porter; her children-in-law, Dale Miller, Evelyn Stapleton and Janet Stapleton; her grandsons, Jason Stapleton and Mark Miller; and her great grandchild Jeremy Thompson.

She is survived by: her children, Shirley Elaine Eshelman of Massena, Jean Dohrmann (Russ) of Urbandale and David Austin Stapleton (Julia) of Fayetteville, AR. She is also survived by grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Mildred Stapleton memorial fund to be established by the family at a later date.
