He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Richard and Lucinda Mae Johannes (Ticknor); his sister Lois Maynes; his brothers-in-law, Leland Inman and Joe Maynes; and his nephew Ed Inman.
He is survived by: his wife Luanne Joy Curtis of Massena; his children, Debbie McCuen (Leroy) of Corning, Alan Johannes (Ronda) of Corning, Kristy Waddell (Jon) of Dexter, Iowa and Carol Wallace (Kenny) of Menlo, Iowa; his stepdaughters, Deanna Roth (Dave) of Cumming and Jody Smith (Kevin) of Winterset, Iowa; and his siblings, Paul Johannes (Janet) of Massena, Ella Mae Inman of Bridgewater and Sharon Quam (Roger) of Creston, Iowa. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pearson Family Funeral Service & Cremation Center - Corning (701 7th St, Corning, IA 50841). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to be established at a later date.
