It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William F. Schoby of Mason City, Iowa, who passed away on January 21, 2021, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Fred Schoby; and his brother David. He is survived by: his mother Lorraine Schoby (Adams); his wife Beverly Meinders; his mother-in-law Barbara Meinders; his children, Wendy Sanders (Al), Susan Schoby, Jason Schoby (Kenzie) and Allison Becthold (Justin); his grandchildren, Taylor, Jordan, Tanner Sanders, Gage Schoby, Macen Nicholson, Lauryn Silvey, Hadley, Jagger Schoby, Madonna, Casandra Stuflick, Joey and Ryan Becthold; his siblings, Jim Schoby (Linda), Diane Hinzman, Rebecca Schoby, Randi O'Dell (Brett), Steve Schoby (Hon), Fred Schoby (Mary) and Liz Jones (Lanny); and his siblings-in-law, Faith Beebe, Charles Meinders, Steven Meinders and David Meinders (Doris). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Monday January 25, 2021 from 4 until 7 PM at the Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania Ave. Social distancing and masks will be required at both the funeral and visitation.
