He is survived by: his wife Jerilyn Wahlert; his children, JaeLee of Minneapolis, Melissa and Michael of Mason City; his grandchildren, Zak Schachtner, Jennifer Hartman and Renee Waldschmidt; and his siblings, Patricia Keith, Rita Jennings (Ted), William Waldschmidt (Mary), Robert Waldschmidt (Marilyn), David Waldschmidt (Dorothy) and Virginia Thom (David).
