He was predeceased by: his father Wayne Bang; and his wife Joan "Jonie" Bang. He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Bang (Meling); and his sisters, Gloria Peterson and Brenda Bartley (Scott) of Pensacola, FL. He is also survived by children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Samaritans Purse and Zion Lutheran Church in Steve's memory.
