It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stanley D. Thompson (Mason City, Iowa), who passed away on December 12, 2021, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Thompson and Veda Thompson (Marks); his grandparents, Louis and Izetta Kipper; and his siblings, Lafawn Handy, Michael Edwards and Steve Thompson (Lacretia).

He is survived by: his brother Steven; his wife Leah Kay Thompson; his children, Tondalaya C. Thompson, Troya D. Davis (Charles), Stanley D. Woolery (Nicole), LaRiessah J. Thompson, Stan A. Thompson, Tiffany J. Reed, Nackia Boggs (Matthew) and Lakiesha Woolery; and his siblings, Sherie Thompson (Renee), Brenda Monk, Scott Thompson (Anita), Marc Thompson (Sandra), Rita Handy, Paulette Handy and Marcia Ann Middlebrook-Jackson. He is also survived by his 18 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family members and friends.
