We are sad to announce that on August 21, 2019 we had to say goodbye to Shirley M. Opheim (Mason City, Iowa), born in Bristow, Iowa. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles "Lyle" and Erma Surfus (Nairn); and her brother Larry Surfus. She is survived by: her husband Earl; her children, Alan Opheim (Joni) of Iowa City, IA and Janice Evans (Richard) of Windsor Heights, IA; her grandchildren, Ashley of Newton, IA, Britney of Cedar Falls, IA and Nathan; and her siblings-in-law, Diane Surfus and Wayne Opheim (Barb). She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and extended family.

Memorials may be directed to First Presbyterian Church or the Education Foundation of Mason City Public Schools.
